Ive got to tell you about my favorite tool in my tool box. Its the 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver made by Makita. You might have a drill all ready and like it, but if you've never used the Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver then you don't know what you're missing out on.
What I like about it is its lithium batteries.They last a long time without recharging. I use other drills such as Dewalt cordless drills but I find that I have to keep a second battery on the charger constantly if I use it much. The Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver is very different. If I am using it all day long I might only have to change the battery once and sometimes, depending on its use, not change it at all. Under most conditions with regular use I only charge the battery about once every week. Seriously folks, I use it quite often and hardly have to charge and change the battery.
Another great feature about the Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver is its raw power. The 18 volts is great, but the impact has got some major strength. I once used it to drive 3/4 inch anchors into pre-piloted holes in masonry all day long without having to back out and re-drill, and I did not have to change the battery even one time that day.
The Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver has a small stream line body that makes it easy to get into hard to reach places. Once I was installing some cabinets and many of the hangers and hardware had hard to get to screws that would of been a real hassle for any other drill, but not the Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver.
Its also very light weight. The Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver comes with a side clip that makes it easy to clip to your tool belt. Its so light that with the mounted clip you can clip it right to your belt. Its so light and handy that when I'm on a job site I always carry it with me where ever I go.
The Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver has an awesome LED light built in on the front that powers up every time you give the Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver power, and it is bright. There's been time when Ive actually used the Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver built in light feature as my sole light source when all the lights go out on a job. Its perfect for when you need a light in those hard to get to dark places.
The charger is incredible. It charges quicker than any other drill on the market and I mean a full charge, not a half charge or a fast charge I mean a full charge in like 30 minutes. That's fast!
The Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver construction is wonderful. Ive had mine ever since they first came out and have never had to replace or repair it. Ive accidentally dropped it from heights of over ten feet many times and other than cosmetic scratches the Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver is unharmed.
If and when my Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver ever breaks I might cry for a moment but I guarantee you I will be off to get a new one. I will always own a Makita 18-Volt LXT Impact Driver.
